I HAVE A DREAM

Date added: Saturday 18th April 2009 written by

I am remembering those heart stirring words of Dr Martin Luther King in his always to be remembered speech to the American people on truth, justice and freedom for black American slaves.

I too have a dream, that one day I also will see truth, justice and respect for those who deserve it, THE SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN OF GREAT BRITAIN, their FAMILIES and YOU the great British people, you who make this country special.

Each and all of you deserve that truth, justice and RESPECT, none more so than our countries forces today. So many over these past 100 years have given so much for you and I, and for the future generations of our children,so that we will continue to be able to have those three human rights that so many have died for.

Each year on November the 11th we remember the fallen of tragic world wars that took so many lives, lives that were given in vast numbers so that we can still have that freedom, the freedom of free speech, the freedom to walk the streets of our country in peace and in safety.

What has happened to those mainstays of Great Britain? where do we stand in the rankings of the world theatre? most of all where is the respect that was earned by the loss of so many lives all those years ago.

Today, we in our present times have also seen so many deaths and sacrifices made by our servicemen and women, but where are those three mainstays of Great Britain that I speak of today? where are they for our servicemen? where are they for you the people of Great Britain?

i will tell you where my friends here on Facebook, they have been whittled away, wasted, and confined to the dustbin of forgotten words and deeds, gone and seen as not worth fighting for by this Government, a government this is well past its sell by date.

How secure do you yourselves feel today? in your job? in your livelihood?, in your home and on the streets of your town or city, how secure do our vital services feel in today's peacekeeping and warfare scenarios they may be facing.

How do those who have lost a loved one feel or a serviceman who faces the rest of his/her life coping with severe debilitating disabilities feel?

THEY FEEL LET DOWN, REJECTED by Government, they need support and care, and having witnessed the homecoming parade of Six Rifles in Exeter recently, and seeing the homecoming of the marines in Plymouth on TV today I believe the people of the South West are behind our servicemen with that support, it was so uplifting to see the people responding in this way and the guys will I know have felt that same pride as I personally feel for all of them each day.

It is my dream, hope and wish, to do what I can, with the help of this countries caring people to bring some level of support and care for our wounded servicemen and their families, this will happen through the future events of Operation Braveheart.

Today I have received the draw books for the prize draw you will have read about on my website, I make a heartfelt appeal to all my friends, and visitors to my website or to facebook, if you will support our servicemen by buying tickets for this great prize.

Please let me now if you would like to enter in this draw, or can help in some other way in supporting our servicemen through operation braveheart.

Thank you for your kind and supportive words my friends.
