THE FAMLY, THE HEART OF THIS COUNTRY
Date added: Thursday 27th August 2009 written by
The family is like a big oak tree, deep of root, strong of branch with
large leaves to shade you from the heat of the sun, so too is the
family of our servicemen, rooted deep in the ground of our country, with
strong branches to support the weak and the vulnerable, and covered in
the green leaves of honor and trust that covers this proud country, and
I am a proud man .indeed to have had a grandson who loved his country,
its people, his friends and his own family, and too I am proud to have
come to know so many, servicemens families, and so many others who have
also surrounded I and my family through these terrible times that so
many of our bravehearted servicemen and women are facing today. It is a
tragedy that this Government has failed in its duty of care to our
bravehearts, and it should not be so. There is no fire in the heart of
the British Government, no will to do better.
No dear John letter from a lost cause Prime Minister which begins DEAR
SOLDIER! will ever bring back a lost hero, or replace lost limbs or
damaged mind suffered in battle.
In the days of the Roman Empire, NERO FIDDLED while Rome burned, and
what a bunch of fiddlers we have in this once great country, the once
Great British Empire, an empire no more, those who once looked to
Britain for truth, honesty and justice and security now deride Great
Britain as a lost cause, not even worthy of being called a third world
country by the third world itself, they themselves now drop a few coins
into our own begging bowl being held out by a lost and forlorn
Government.
you may be wondering where all this is coming from, even a blind man
can see that it comes from the heart, not just my heart, but from the
heart of every decent citizen who is proud to be known as British, and
who has a heart for the servicemen and women of this country today. The
Defence minister scurries back from his holiday in France to rally "the
troops" in Government for a damage limitation exercise of horrendous
proportions in the fiasco over compensation for our servicemen who have
been and are being injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In this culture of compensation which has grown up around us it is not
uncommon now, to hear of someone being payed tens of thousands of
pounds for trivial trips, falls and pinpricks, but surely such
incidences pale into insignificance when compared to the harrowing
instances of our servicemen and women who have lost limbs and had minds
destroyed by ptsd.
Yes the British Government fiddles whilst the bravehearts of the
British forces burn, as did Rome in Nero's time but these assets of
Great Britain are a million times more valuable than any building you
may care to mention in this country today.
These man and women are priceless, and with any priceless jewel you
will, or should, insure it against damage or loss, SO WHY IS THIS PENNY
PINCHING GOVERNMENT RENEGING ON THE SOLDIERS COVENANT, and the promise
they made in regard to our injured servicemen and women?
This government needs to get its priority's right and not waste
millions of BORROWED pounds on prestigious white elephants and
worthless schemes which are only like rouge and face powder used to
cover up the wrinkles of old age.
what of out illustrious ex PM Tony Blaire? you remember him don't you?
he who draws thousands of people to many venues to hear his many
speeches, expounding on how great a statesman he was on the world
stage, and who now earns many millions of pounds in giving those said
speeches.
I issued a challenge to this gentleman at the time of my Daniels
inquest to put his money where his mouth should have been, IN SUPPORT
OF OUR BELOVED SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN and I again issue this challenge to
him, which he failed to do the first time.
TONY! show your respect and care for our servicemen by making a
substantial donation from the fee's you ask, to a serviceman's charity
of your choice, you, along with George W Bush instigated the invasion
of Iraq with the resulting tragic loss of life, the very least you can
do is to make suitable compensation for the loss of life incurred by
your gungho tactics in that country.
It is to be hoped that the Chillcott inquiry will recommend such a
thoughtful action on your part in the monumental task he faces.
