GIFT AUCTION A RESULT.

September saw the first fundraising event of Operation Braveheart Take place. This was a dinner and gift auction and it was held at Padbrook Park Hotel in Cullompton. Seventy people bought tickets to come along for a great evening of fun and entertainment which included a band and a cabaret magical act.
The event raised a total of £1700.00 which is going to the Army Benevolent fund, just one of the many charities and organisations I plan to support in the future for the benefit of our servicemen and women, both wounded and operational servicemen and their families.
We had some really exceptional gifts which had been kindly donated by individuals and local business and major national companies, these included such things as meals out, race day meetings, visits to many attractions in the South West and also some great sporting events and even short break holidays were up for grabs.
I have asked the people who have bought these items if they would be so kind as to take lots of pictures when they eventually go to these events, many of these are available to be taken in 2009, so hopefully we will have lots of interesting pictures for you to view in the image gallery at a later date.
I would like to thank everyone who came along to bid for the items on sale, and my very special thanks must go to all my supporters who have, in the light of present national and world circumstances in the present economic situations we are facing, still responded so magnificently to my plea to support our servicemen and women through Operation Braveheart.
Operation Braveheart is my solemn promise to Daniel and to his many comrades throughout the British services that I will take the needs of themselves and their families to the British people, and to this Government.
Today, as in all our yesterdays, we should remember each one for what they have one in the past, and what they are dong today in Iraq and Afghanistan, and please remember, it is all done in our name, in the name of democracy by this current Government.
